Serving famlies in Bergen and Hudson County NJ as well as Manhatten , the Bronx and Westchester in NY
My journey to becoming a midwife began 25 years ago when I was pregnant for my third daughter. There were many twists and turns along my path. I have been a nurse working in the maternal/child health arena for 17 years. I have loved every minute that I have spent serving women and their families; to me there is no greater joy. One of the most thrilling times came two years ago when my oldest daughter, Erica, gave birth to Madison at home and grandma had the honor of being there to catch. What a privilege!
I enjoy my full life. I have been married for 30 years, have three adult daughters, and two grandchildren. In addition to being a homebirth midwife, I teach Lamaze childbirth education to new parents. Also, I am a clinical instructor teaching Ramapo College nursing students during their OB rotation in the spring.
As a midwife, I have worked in a free standing birthing center in Southern Texas bordering Mexico, a practice with a physician, a midwifery practice, and homebirth.
Recently, I was in Sierra Leone, Africa, working with facility and students from Ramapo College.

"Carole is intricately woven in my birthing experience/memory. She whispering words of encouragement throughout my labor and never chided me for being too loud. Without a doubt, Carole was the reason I was able to continue pushing. I highly recommend contacting Carole for your own beautiful birthing experience. -Paula (Milla Sophie 10/09)
